Characteristics of Ni-Hard 4

Ni-Hard 4 is a high-chromium cast iron alloy and is used in the production of particularly wear-resistant parts. Some typical features of Ni-Hard 4 are:

  1. Chemical Composition : Ni-Hard 4 generally consists of approximately 2.4-3.6% carbon, 3.0-5.0% chromium, 0.5-2.0% molybdenum, 0.5-2.0% nickel and other elements. These components determine the material's properties such as high hardness, wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
  2. Hardness : Ni-Hard 4 is a material with high hardness. It can generally be in the range of 600-700 Brinell hardness on average. This increases the wear resistance of the material and ensures long-lasting use.
  3. Wear Resistance : Ni-Hard 4 is designed specifically for use in environments subject to wear. It is frequently used in coal mining, crushing and grinding industries, sand and gravel industry, limestone and stone industry, iron ore industry.
  4. High Temperature Resistance : Ni-Hard 4 is a material that can maintain its strength even when exposed to high temperatures. This feature allows it to be used in equipment operating at high temperatures.
  5. Casting and Processing Properties : Ni-Hard 4 has good flow properties during the casting process. It is difficult to machine and is usually shaped as a casting. It can be hardened and its properties improved by heat treatments.

Ni-Hard 4 is widely used in applications such as grinding and crushing elements, mining equipment, hammers and crushers, especially in the production of wear-resistant parts.
